Getting All The Fruits

A fox planted a fruit-bearing plant in a hill. When the plant started to bear fruit, the fox would go to the hill everyday to pick the fruit. Then he noticed that the plant bear only one fruit a day. It tired him to go the hill everyday only to find one fruit to pick.

He complained to the plant and asked it to give him more fruits each day so he would not go to the hill everyday. The following day, he was excited to go to the hill because he was expecting to see more fruits. But to his dismay, the plant had only one fruit.

Thinking that the plant was just being stingy and was keeping more fruits in its roots, he uprooted the plants. But he found no fruits in the roots, only soil and damaged roots.
